About the Ironstone Adventure Riding Club
The Ironstone Adventure Riding Club Inc. (IARC) was formed in 2008 to provide more off-road riding events and activities in the south west of Western Australia.
Who we are
The IARC was founded by Carl Parkin (Vice President), James Harrington (Treasurer) and Jeremy Connor (President) in December 2008, three active riders with many years experience and hands-on involvement in organising events in the area.

Why we formed IARC
The IARC is not a motocross club and was formed because we felt that whilst there are currently a number of clubs in the south west focussed on motocross there are few, if any, clubs catering for enduro and off-road riders. So to fill that gap the IARC will provide riders of all ages with more opportunities to ride competitive and non-competitive off-road events in the south west, including enduros, cross countries and signed trail rides like the Capel 200, in a friendly, safe and responsible club atmosphere.
Junior riders
We see the development of junior riders as critical to the future of our sport and many of our members are from motorcycling families with kids that ride and compete in the Trail & Enduro Motorcycle Club’s Junior Off Road Events. So a key objective of IARC will be to work with the T & E Club to supplement their series with other quality junior events in the south west and provide more riding opportunities for all junior off-road riders.
Working with other clubs, trail tour operators, DEC and the Shires
We also recognise that there are many threats to the future of off-road riding in Western Australia, especially in the beautiful south west, so one of our key strategies will be to work cooperatively with other MWA clubs and local trail tour operators to supplement each others activities and jointly ensure responsible, sustainable development and coordination of riding in the region. Additionally we will work hard to build on the good relationships that we already have with DEC and local Shires.
In summary the IARC will provide additional riding opportunities for south west riders of all ages by supplementing the motocross calendar with quality off-road events and riding activities in the region.
We look forward to your support and hopefully meeting and riding with you in the future.
